Skool Beanz children’s gardening club run’s from our very own children’s No-Dig allotment in a little village called Chilthorne Domer just outside of Yeovil in South Somerset. We teach children how to grow delicious vegetables, beautiful cut flowers and how to garden to help nature with plenty of upcyled art thrown in and most of all fun!
The Skool Beanz allotment is has a 7 metre long Dahlia bed for cutting flowers, fruit trees, fruit and veg beds, a water collecting station, Muddy Buddy compost heap, Quiet Wildlife Garden with tiny pond, Secret Den, Polytunnel classroom where we grow seedlings and veg too, workbenches for arts and crafts, colourful raised beds, a sunflower and pumpkin patch, community orchard, Goosegog Corner where we grow sweet gooseberries and our new plot wehre we are building a pizza oven for cooking veg and storytelling around the fire.
