Here’s what you’ll need!
Large dry pinecones
Birdseed
Raisins and peanuts
Grated Cheese
Suet or lard
A mixing bowl
Scissors
String
Instructions:
- Allow the lard to warm to room temperature then cut up and mix it in the bowl with the raisins, peanuts, cheese, and birdseed
- Tie your pinecones together using the string by going under the spines around the tops
- Using your hands, pack the mixture tightly into the gaps in the pinecones until flush with the edges
- This will then need to set in the fridge for an hour or so
- Hang your feeder high up in your garden for the birds to eat
